What do you think about the 60m towers blocking many Montrealers' view of the river and the Farine Five Roses sign?

Maybe those people should all move into the Projet Griffintown towers so that they can get an even better view of the river and Five Roses sign. - Dirk Kufftensson, Prospective Resident I think a better question is when will they finally take down that sign? Unless they invest in good opaque blinds, Griffintowners can expect to fall asleep to dim red, bright red, dark, dim red, bright red, dark, bright red, dark... Good luck with that. - Mia Mochan, Insomniac
I'm actually excited about the effect [the towers] will have looking the other way, from the Peel Basin to downtown. As a postcard photographer, this will create extra paid work for me since we'll have to update the postcards every time another tower pops into the picture. I only hope the lifestyle centre doesn't suck the life out of Rue Ste-Catherine because that's my best market. - Alain Leica, Postcard Photographer Montrealers actually look at that stuff? I mean, all there is is a National Historic Site at the mouth of a revitalised, cyclist-friendly canal across from a big silo with a blinking sign that's been a city landmark for decades. - Bernard Sourine, Accountant
When you pay 200k or more for a cramped condo next to a noisy elevated highway and rail line, you at least expect that the perks will include a view of something decent. Okay, so some Montrealers may lose their existing view, but I'm sure they'll keep their peace and quiet! - Rhonda Girard, Insurance Salesperson I have no problem with towers blocking the sign: I only wish they were taller and wider and on both sides of the silos. - Robin Hood, Flour Magnate and Five Roses Competitor
